BAE Systems - Vehicle Emergency Escape (VEE) Windows

BAE Systems Vehicle Emergency Escape (VEE) Window

The Vehicle Emergency Escape (VEE) Window is a critical tool for enhancing the safety of crews riding in up-armored vehicles in dangerous combat zones where rollovers and accidents are a significant threat.

In use by troops in combat zones today, the VEE Window was developed by BAE Systems to allow crews of tactical ground combat vehicles to remove the ballistic windshields and quickly exit the vehicle during an emergency.

A three-step process -- pull, rotate and push -- allows the VEE Window to be removed in less than 10 seconds. Crew members exit the vehicle through the window opening after:

  1. Pulling the locking pins.
  2. Rotating the latch handles.
  3. Pushing the window out.

The VEE Window – an effective, must-have solution for today’s tactical combat vehicles.
